  1. Program name and description. CoParentTranslator is a two-way conversational text-messaging program for co-parents. When you opt in, you receive your co-parent's messages, rewritten by software to remove hostile language while keeping facts, requests and questions; confirmations showing how your own messages were delivered; and occasional service notices about your conversation. No marketing messages are sent.
  2. How to opt in. Text JOIN followed by your conversation code to (802) 559-5938. You must be 18 or older and the account holder or authorized user of the phone you text from.
  3. How to opt out. Reply STOP at any time. You will receive one message confirming you are unsubscribed, and no further messages. Reply START to rejoin.
  4. Help. Reply HELP at any time, or email support@coparenttranslator.com.
  5. Message frequency. Message frequency varies with how often you and your co-parent write.
  6. Cost. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan. The program itself does not charge per message.
  7. Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported on major US carriers; delivery is not guaranteed.
  8. Automated rewriting. Messages are rewritten by software, which can make mistakes. Every confirmation shows you exactly what was delivered; check it, and send a correction if anything important was lost or changed. If a message contains nothing actionable, it may not be delivered, and you will be told.
  9. Not an emergency, legal or counselling service. CoParentTranslator only rewrites wording. It does not give legal advice, is not a party to your dispute, and must not be relied on in an emergency. If a child or anyone else is in danger, call 911.
  10. Acceptable use. Do not use the service to threaten, harass or stalk anyone, or to violate a court order. We may suspend access for misuse.
  11. Privacy. See the privacy policy. Mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties.
  12. Changes. We may update these terms; changes are posted on this page with a new effective date.
